LifeRites Centre Fund

LifeRites has launched a centre fund to raise money to purchase a property that will serve as a centre for our activities.

Within this centre we plan to provide the following:

Study Centre

A suite of rooms where our potential celebrants and Interactive Workers may study to gain the professional skills needed to work within the organisation, and where our registered personnel may further their study in Professional Development.

This facility will also be available for other organisations to hire for their courses.

Library

We aim to establish an extensive library, for our students and personnel, and for the general public (by appointment). This library will contain not only literature on the areas of our work (death and dying, terminal care, counselling, communication, etc) but also literature on spiritual paths, law, health issues, and archive material.

Conference Suite

This will be available not only for our own events but also for hire by other organisations.

Accommodation

We also wish to include residential accommodation for those attending the centre for courses, etc.

Ceremony Site

An open-air site for Rites of Passage and possibly a licensed marriage venue. Also available for hire by other celebrants.

Retreats

We also hope to be able to use this centre for retreat weekends or weeks.

How will the fund be administered?

The fund will be held in a separate deposit account, with a full log of donators. It will be used only for the purchase of property and/or land.

How long will it be before a centre is established?

The time scale depends on the amount donated, and on the availability of suitable property. It may be decided that a small centre, providing study and accommodation areas, or camping facilities, will be the optimum use of funds initially. This centre may be retained or sold in order to purchase a larger property at a later date or when funds allow.

What would happen to the money if the project was not realised, of if the organisation ceased to exist?

As all donators are logged with the amount of their donations, the monies will be returned in full to the individual. Anonymous donations will revert to the main account or be awarded to a charity with similar aims stated.
