Our Celebrants/Officiants have undertaken training to a professional standard and therefore make charges for ceremonies in line with other ministers. These fees cover their time and travelling expenses within a 20 mile radius of their home base. Travelling expenses are charged at 15p per mile over and above the 20 mile radius.
We are happy to assist with planning a ceremony in order that the individuals may perform these themselves or to plan and conduct the ceremony.
An admin fee of £10 is payable by non members with the preliminary booking form.
50% of the full fee is payable at the first planning meeting
A discussion with a LifeRites Celebrant, covering aspects of the ceremony required, along with a written confirmation of the items discussed, plus the relevant LifeRites leaflet(s)

Where booking is made at the time of planning, the planning fee is not required. Sundries extra and, if supplied by the Celebrant/Officiant, priced at cost.
This is a pack comprising our leaflets on Making a Will, Advance directives, Planning a Funeral and Woodland and Green Burial.
In addition it contains a personal request from the individual as to how they wish their funeral to be arranged, order of service, chosen rite of passage according to their own spiritual ( or non religious, if appropriate) path., This is drawn up after discussions with a LifeRites Officiant. This document may also include requests for certain music, readings, poetry etc.
When finalised a signed and witnessed copy of the document is lodged with LifeRites central office. The original document is retained by the client. This document/copy is signed by both the client and Officiant.
This Pre-Plan maybe of great assistance and comfort to the bereaved when the time comes to arrange the funeral of their loved one “As they would have wanted”.
The Pre-plan is not a legally binding document but reflects the wishes of an individual with regard to their funeral and disposition of their remains.
Any existing arrangements (Prepaid funeral plan, advance directive, burial plot details etc.) may also be listed with the Pre-Plan so that everything is to hand.

LifeRites holds a register of trained Interactive Community Workers who will visit the terminally ill and their carers either at home, in hospital/hospice or nursing home to provide a listening ear and practical advice on issues surrounding death. Our workers provide practical non-medical support to enable the individual to remain at home, such as regular visits and shopping, and are happy to provide a respite “night watch” to enable carers to get their rest in the knowledge that they will be wakened immediately there is a need. Our workers are happy to watch with the family in the final hours and the passing and some will provide the family with assistance in “laying out” if the family wish to perform this office themselves after the necessary medical examination and certification has been undertaken.
We would expect those availing themselves of these services to pay the Interactive Worker’s full travelling expenses at 15p per mile and to provide refreshment on duty. Our workers time is supported by donation to LifeRites and would therefore ask that a donation be made at the discretion of the client.
Interactive Workers may be booked to assist with light household chores – Ironing/dusting/shopping at the hourly rate below..
